Love Not Lost
The Story
Love Not Lost was founded after Ashley lost her daughter to a
terminal diagnosis. As a photographer, Ashley already had an
appreciation for great pictures, but once Skylar died, their
family photos took on a whole new meaning.
The tangible photos framed in her house and those printed in
a book, provided a rare tool to help her through the grief.
Ashley was able to interact with them however she needed to
without fear of judgement or expectation that society so often
places on people grieving. Not only were they incredibly
helpful in healing, but now they are a beautiful source of joy.
Ashley wanted to give that gift to others and started giving
free sessions to anyone facing a terminal diagnosis who
crossed her path. As more and more sessions filled her
schedule, she realized there was a need for this on a much
greater scale than what she could offer individually. As a
result, Love Not Lost was born.
The vision is to grow Love Not Lost to a national level with
photographers volunteering in every city across the nation.
Everyone deserves to be remembered. We hope you will join
us on this journey of loving people better as we celebrate life
and support people in grief.
