SEGCA's mission is to reduce deaths from cancer and disparities in cancer care. The organizing dynamic of that mission is cancer research: gathering and analyzing county-specific data relative to epidemiologic indices such as at-risk population, incidence and prevalence; available resources; measurements of progress in delivering and accessing cancer care.
